As a performer...? So she couldn't even introduce him as a new friend? That kind of stung when he just thought he made a friend. But maybe it was just because Metric was so competitive. If he had to prove himself to the higher-ups then he probably had to prove himself to the other students, too. Rylan could totally handle that. It wasn't like there was any pressure or anything. It couldn't be much different from an audition.
"So...you open the door to me being popular. Introducing me to everyone I mean. Then I have to...impress people? Is it like, a big production in the middle of class? Or do I have to try out for one of the musicals? What about a monologue? Or a dance number?" Rylan asked. He just wanted to know exactly what the best course of action would be to win everyone over. He didn't want to embarrass himself and get called names again. Seeing Shyanne quickly move around the section, he trailed behind her while she eyed the outfits, though tried not to keep too close behind her. It seemed like she liked a little bit of space.
"Oh good,"" Rylan sighed with relief. He quickly corrected himself so it wouldn't sound like he was questioning her decision, "I mean about work being our focus. Having a nice person around is always...well, nice...but there's just a lot of time and effort that goes into performances. It would kind of suck if anyone tried to get in the way of that."

"Biggest building, huh...? Chase thought aloud. If it was a pretty big building, then a lot of the students had to be going. Which meant it might be hard to the chaperones to keep an eye on just one student. That could be prime pranking time. Nothing too big to start out with, of course. he'd have to test the waters first. Maybe something fun, but that no one would see coming. But Chase wasn't going to say anything just yet. Even if he could come up with something awesome on the spot, he wasn't going to blab it to someone he just met. Todd was a nice guy, but for all Chase knew the nice guy hated getting in trouble. Especially when he seemed so easily nervous. Too risky. Chase shook his head, pushing the thought out of his mind for the time being. He still couldn't go to homecoming without a rad outfit. He followed Todd over to the 'flashy' rack.
"Hey I get it. You're around it a lot so it's kinda your thing," Chase said looking at a couple of the jackets. A few were kind of over the top for him, but a lot of them did have potential. He gave a nod. "Yeah, something like this. Something that makes a statement. It is a huge dance, after all. But nothing green. Or brown. Brown blends in with my skin and green can be questionable."
((Ok then, bring on the rain dance of inspiration! XD
i dunno, does the principal count...? In the book series though, they mentioned a few more teachers but we never actually see any in action in the movies. No wonder it gave people unrealistic expectations about high school! xD
Sometimes it is. i think that's why i liked roleplaying as Chad when i got into the roleplaying scene and it was between HSM and HSM2. Cause even though he and i share some characteristics i think (ok mostly sense of humor thing) him being really sporty and outgoing is kinda opposite of me. And when my friends and i roleplayed My Little Pony (cause we're all nerds) i thought my pony was waaaay too similar to me. Sometimes a middle ground is good, too. Maybe that one common ground and then branching out or something completely different))
