Arthur stopped walking outside of his new house. A scowl was on his face. All because that dumb bitch—what was her name? Kara? He thought so. The overprotective best friend, anyway, all because she filed a harassment form, Arthur got himself moved.
He grumbled in annoyance, hoisting his two bags over his shoulder. Arthur didn’t come with very much. He wasn’t very materialistic, so the only things he really carried were his clothes and game console (a really shitty, old game cube with two controllers).
He raised a fist and knocked on the door. He was wearing a white tee shirt with the name of a band written in red on the front, with a short sleeved, unzipped black hoodie over that. The sky was dark, as though it might rain.
He raised his fist and knocked on the door. It opened, and the girl behind the door was the African American girl he recognized, the one who had danced with Bandi at the dance.
“Oh… you’re here… I am Talya...” She said, walking away from the door. She looked familiar for another reason, too. She had been at the cleanup. Thinking of that made his eyebrow twitch in annoyance.
“Which room is mine?” Arthur asked, not really in the mood for small talk. Talya paused, before she lead the way up the stairs.
“Room three, I think…” She said, looking around. “I don’t know if the others are here…”
“Doesn’t matter.” Arthur snapped. “I don’t really do people. I just need a place to sleep.”
Talya looked around.
“The new roommate is here!” She announced, despite Arthur saying he didn’t want to be known. He rolled his eyes. Great. Hopefully, the rest of the housemates were quiet.
They were at the foot of the stairs, and Arthur couldn’t get up them until Talya moved. Great.
