Clem initially thought she didn’t have much of a place going to an event like this, given that she had only been at Metric for a year and wasn’t quite studying an art like the majority of students. However a quick conversation with the secretary had given her knowledge that some of the school they would be going to would be High Schools, in which she was invited to discuss the pros of transferring to the college.
Clem’s wardrobe lately was nothing but business casual, especially when it came to work and outfits she wore to school. Today she was in a pair of black boots, a pencil skirt, and a classy black top tucked into her belt. Her makeup was done modestly but well, with foundation and eyeshadow done not to stand out but instead to complete her professional ensemble. She had a small silver chain around her neck that had a ‘C’ glittering on it. Her nails were painted into a French manicure, and her phone and other accessories were currently in her tote style purse.
The entire volunteer party was meeting in front of the administration building. Clementine had arrived early but not early enough to beat the headmaster, who was smiling at her from the moment he saw her approaching. Clementine matched his smile with hers and extended a hand out to shake his hand. The gesture was returned and after introducing herself, Clem returned to waiting. A few other people were around, mostly talking among one another. Clem folded one leg over the other and sat down on a bench, pulling her phone out of her pocket and quickly updating her best friends about what she was doing. She just had a few more minutes, and then they’d be heading off to the first school – a middle school about a half hour away by the luxury van they’d be taking.
