A blush crept on Corbin's cheeks as Peyton told him all of the things she found him talented in. He was a very modest person, but whenever Peyton said things like that he couldn't hold back a smile and a blush. As any usual self-doubting teenage boy, he could never understand how Peyton saw all of these things in him, but he would never reject the compliment because it meant a lot coming from the love of his life.
His eyes lit up at the mention of a sleepover. Their sleepovers were something Corbin looked forward to. They always stayed up late watching all kinds of movies, cuddling, kissing and making each other laugh with their silly jokes and comments.
"Any chance we can break in the onesies for this sleepover?" Corbin asked hopefully. He was referring to the two Stitch onesies he had gotten Peyton for her fifteenth birthday. They had yet to wear them, and Corbin was looking forward to seeing Peyton in the adorable onesie. He took another slice of pizza and bit into it, Peyton did have a good point. No one liked it when someone gloated, and he knew that Peyton was also very humble and wasn't the type of person to flaunt something in other people's faces.
At Peyton's next playful comment, Corbin pretended to be taken aback. He placed his hand on his chest. "Ouch...that hurt right here." He replied with equal playfulness, pointing to his heart.
"Now you really owe me extra cuddles to repair the damage caused." Corbin added, sticking his tongue out Peyton.
His features settled into a semi-serious expression before he reached across the table to take Peyton's hand in his. He gently rubbed her hand with his thumb, "I won't be offended if you don't show the ring off. I understand that it could definitely draw unwanted attention-" he started, his tone very comforting. "-and if any of the snotty girls notice it and say something remotely bitchy, let me know, okay?" Corbin finished, his brows now furrowing slightly with concern. He knew how snarky and fake the girls in his friend group could be and he would never allow Peyton to be victimized by any of them.
