"C'mon, c'mon, c'mon..." Newt near frantically walked in circles as he walked out of the building trying to find a Pokémon. He saw the shaking grass nearby but the thing just wasn't appearing on his screen! He had a bus to catch to the mini plaza soon, how was he supposed to go there, fill up at the pokestops, battle the nearby gyms and catch whatever wild Pokémon were around if this one refused to appear? Dammit, he lost it! Newt groaned. The servers for the new Pokémon Go app were not holding up and people all over the internet were complaining about it. Newt was one of them. And because he'd spent more time online looking up tips, trying to figure out how to keep the app going and figuring out what to expect from the game, he already got a mouthful from his sister about not helping with auditions for the next musical or whatever. Did she not get the hint? Pokémon was WAY more important than any audition! At least Nacho didn't bug him about it; then again Nacho was spending more and more time in the kitchen on campus. Stupid family feuding.
Newt groaned and made his way towards his dorm so he could drop off his books and run to the bus. Fortunately there was no one on his way to bother him. The down side? With the server down for the time being that meant his steps to the dorm and bus stop weren't going to count for hatching his egg. He was half way done and he bet that if he took extra steps, he could get it hatched by the third pokestop. So much for that.
At least he made it to the bus on time. And he was smart enough to keep a phone charger in his pocket. He figured after hitting a few pokestops and battling the gyms he could grab some ice cream or something, take a quick breather and let his phone charge. Couldn't do much on Pokémon Go with a battery-less phone. Sighing, Newt decided to go back into the app and see if it would let him log in. It was successful, although the screen was frozen. He closed the app again and logged back in which seemed to do the trick. For now. He was able to hit a pokestop the bus passed by, getting a potion and three pokéballs in the process. On the map he could see a gym not too far away, although he couldn't challenge it on the bus. His eyes widened. Wasn't that place in control of Team Mystic just yesterday? And now those goons from Team Valor had it! "You are insanely toast," he shook his head at the screen in disappointment. He only hoped that his team still had the gym near the supermarket. And that there were more than just Pidget, Rattata and Zubat around this time. Speaking of which...a wild Pidgey appeared on his screen! Newt smirked. "Looks like it's time to level up my Pidgeot."

Arielle didn't have any classes today aside from her internship, which she only needed to stay for one class today. She was thankful for that, because wearing two shirts made it really boiling sometimes! The bell rang for the history class she was watching over today and Arielle began gathering her things together as were the students. She took her hat out from her backpack and let her hair down. "Lunch time, lunch time!" she chirped happily. She was gonna go get some frozen yogurt and then maybe go to the mall or a toy store...wait there was a yogurt place in the mall. But it wasn't as good as the one near the mini plaza. Oh well! But then she was gonna go to the super market and stock up on some junk food...now was it her turn or Cleo's to pick out a bad movie for Bad Movie Monday? She was gonna have to text Cleo and ask her that. But not before she ate! Who could think on an empty stomach! Then again, knowing her t-shirt was covered in fruit loops didn't help.
"There's a Bulbasaur outside!" she heard a student gasped.
"What? Where?" Arielle gasped running over to the students. She had downloaded Pokémon Go, figuring it was something to do while she rode her bike between classes and her internship. She wasn't playing to beat gyms or level up her Pokémon or anything, just to have fun. And some of the Pokémon were so cute, too!
"Somewhere outside," the kid answered.
"Let's go find it!" Arielle encouraged, only to be stopped by the teacher.
"Ms. Sanford, you may be free to go but these students have to get to class," he told her.
"But the Bulbasaur..." the kid pouted.
"Turn off the phone and get to class," the teacher said sternly.
The kid pouted but obeyed. Arielle blinked. She tapped her fingers against the strap of her backpack before taking a step away from the teacher. "So uh...I will...seeyounextweekkaybye!" she blurted as quickly as she could before rushing out. Phew! That was close! Arielle took out her phone to open up the app, only to quickly place it behind her back so the hall monitor wouldn't see her using it. Arielle smiled sweetly to the lady until she was around the corner and could open the app again. She tilted her phone upside down to put it in sleep mode, just until she exited the middle school. She removed her long sleeve shirt, revealing her t-shirt, and stuffed it into her backpack. "Ok Bulby, come out come out wherever you are!" she sang. "Hurry up so I can go eat!" Ooooh any other people who played Pokémon Go were gonna be so jealous Arielle caught an adorable Bulbasaur and they didn't! Cause it was hers! All hers! And no one could.... Oh, look! A Meowth! She supposed that worked, too. "Come over to me and my bikey, Jinxy," she sang already naming the Meowth before she caught it.

Chase never understood the hype about Pokémon. He didn't really get into it like a lot of other people did. Then again, he wasn't a nerd specifically. But he did kick some pretty serious butt in Smash Brothers with Charizard. And everyone had been talking about the app for ages so he figured he'd try it out. Not to mention, unlike a lot of people, he could not only afford the in-app purchases, but also not have to worry about going over on his data plan when he explored. Ha! Chase had everything all figured out and, he was sort of hooked. He already leveled up his Charmander, got two of his Pokémon over 200 CP - he was pretty sure that was a good start - and helped take over one of the gyms just off campus.
Chase left his room and went to knock on Clint's door. They had made plans to go out today. Chase wanted to pick up a few things - namely video game stuff - and figured while they were out Clint could get in some more flirting practice. "Yo dude, ready in there? Let's go!" he called. Chase went over to the kitchen and opened up a can of Dr. Pepper, which he planned on keeping in the car with him while he drove. He didn't really want to drive, since he'd be missing out on finding new Pokémon so he could level up the ones he had, but oh well. He'd make up for it later. Speaking of which, he didn't go through the ones he caught yesterday. Chase opened the app - which he quickly had to close and reopen twice due to the server crashing again - and looked through his Pokémon. There were a couple of low-powered Rattatas he could get rid of and power up his Raticate. Sure the Raticate wasn't much, but it did help him take over a low-level gym. Chase's fast reflexes probably helped with that. He placed his phone in his pocket and took another ship of his soda. Where was Clint?
"Ok dude, I know you're still not into this whole girl-talking thing but c'mon. We got this," he called. "Remember last time? Look, I'll even treat you to a snack later ok? Will that help?" It'd better help. Who would turn down a free meal anyway? "Oh hey, you downloaded Pokémon Go already, right? Did you make it to Level 5? Dude you gotta join Team Valor. I'll show you what to do and we can take over another gym together." He grabbed his keys off the hook near the door and waited for his bro. All Chase wanted to help Clint do was break out just a little more, was that so wrong? And have even more fun things to do with his bro. Heck, if Clint could climb onto a roof then he could not only play an app but also talk to plenty of cute girls. And if Clint questioned anything, Chase had the perfect response. "Besides Valor is red like Wyatt's hair, you know you can't top that..."
