Feeling like a giddy school girl wasn't something all too familiar to Emmet. She usually didn't portray emotions like that. However it would be a lie if Emmet told herself that she didn't get girlish butterflies whenever her and Marty exchanged texts. Ever since their first meeting at Rodney's staff barbecue, Emmet had tipsily gotten the courage to speak to Mr. Rivers. The two had hit it off so well and even exchanged numbers. They had been texting consistently for about two weeks, and Emmet was over-joyed when Marty invited her to go out for a drive with him. Of course, it was never established as a date, so Emmet was going to wear something casual, but nice. She wanted to make a good impression seeing as this was the first time they would be alone together. Emmet wasn't sure if he was interested in her, but the way they texted so often definitely led to Emmet crushing a bit. She felt a little silly being so flustered over this. It brought her back to her days in college when she would get all dolled up (which she LOVED to do) over some stupid frat boy that wasn't worth it in the first place.

Emmet slipped her cardigan over her top and took a deep breath. This was nothing more than two adults going out for a drive. People did this all the time! Well normal people did this all the time...Emmet didn't consider herself normal by any means.

Marty's outfit - truck

Marty had been waiting for the most opportune moment to ask Emmet out, for about a week to be exact. Their daily conversations over text messaging after meeting at the staff barbeque quickly became the highlight of his evenings. He was comfortable speaking with her and she just had the quality of something like an old friend, something familiar and pleasant. It made her such a delight to hear from, regardless of the impersonal blocks her words were contained in.

It hit him a few days before his planned country drive that weekend that he should ask Emmet along. His drives were always based on solitude, but Marty could make an exception for her - and if it all went well, they could make it a routine. He didn't want to get ahead of himself though. He got the truck all ready, packing a simple lunch for them for later and looked down over his phone. "i'll be there in 15" he typed up, sending it to her immediately. He smiled as it went through and tossed it in to the cab of his truck - making sure he had everything before locking up his half of the duplex he rented.

He let his memory guide him instead of a GPS. Her place wasn't very far from the school and he drove past her street nearly every day when he went to the gym after teaching. Before he knew it, he was in front of the address she'd given him. Marty had overestimated so he had gotten there in ten minutes, so when he arrived he figured it'd be better for him to give a knock on the door than to hurry her up with a honk of his horn. Plus it would give him the chance to greet her with a nice hug, which was always awkward to manage in a truck with a stick-shift. When the door opened, Marty's mouth lifted in to a charming smile - it was such a breath of fresh air to see her. "We meet again, Emmet." he joked, opening his arms to hug her.

When Emmet received the text from Marty, her heart began pounding a bit faster. She wasn't sure if it was an anxiety thing or if it was because Marty just had that effect on her. She walked over to her mirror and started at herself for a few minutes. She fixed her hair a bit before hearing the doorbell ring. Emmet took a deep breath and waltzed to her front door. If she pretended that she was confident, she would hopefully radiate confidence. A smile crept onto her lips as she opened the door and saw Marty ready to greet her with open arms. He looked good too, and Emmet was glad she initiated conversation with him in the first place.

"I know! It's been, what, like ten years?" Emmet teased as she went in for the hug. His scent was almost intoxicating and Emmet tried to stop herself from going into teenage girl mode. She stole a glance at his truck and smiled, "I love the truck by the way...it definitely fits your personality-" she started. "-not going to lie, if you showed up in a mini-cooper I'd tease you about it forever." She finished, her tone was very playful. It was nice feeling this comfortable around someone. She turned to lock up her house, then turned back to Marty. "Ready when you are, Mr. Rivers." She smirked.

Marty chuckled and closed his arms around her, "More like eternity," he joked back, parting from the hug and looking back towards his truck as she complimented it, making him chuckle again as the image of him behind the wheel of a Mini popped in to his mind. Marty shook his head, the thought too silly and impossible. "I doubt a toy car like that could accommodate all of me anyway," he smiled widely, the way things were going already gave him a confidence boost. "plus I need a truck like this to carry all the materials I need for my classes." Marty added as she locked up and stepped towards him, mirroring her smirk and leading the way.

He opened the passenger side door and held out his hand to guide her in, making sure she was comfortable before shutting the door and rounding to the driver's seat - his keys still in the ignition. "If this was a Mini, a country drive would be too cramped to be very enjoyable, don't you think?" he asked as he looked towards her. She seemed like she fit there, in the passenger's seat - like she'd been there before though he knew this was this very first time she'd set foot inside.

Without any more spare time wasted, Marty started the truck up with a powerful rumble and reached for the stick - moving it from out of park and in to first gear. "We've got a lot of road to cover, so I brought us some lunch for whenever we get hungry. Nothing fancy, but I hope you'll like it all the same." As he drove back on to the main street, Marty stole glances over at her, "Emmet, I want to thank you for coming with me. I normally take these drives alone but I think a change of pace was needed and, I'm just glad you're here."

It did make a lot of sense that Marty drove a truck. Emmet could only imagine all of the equipment that he had to lug around for his shop classes. Emmet just grinned at him as he helped her into his truck. "Well I guess chivalry isn't dead." She commented playfully, buckling herself into the seat. Due to how much they talked about over text, Emmet was sure that they wouldn't run out of things to talk about. She was definitely easing into the vibe of things, though the starting of the truck startled her a bit. "Geez! You could blow someones ears out with your engine alone!" Emmet joked.

She couldn't stop the grin from forming on her face as he mentioned packing a lunch for them, but before she could reply to that, Marty said something that was very touching to her. She knew a lot about spending time alone, and she knew that inviting someone into that space was a big deal.

"I'm sure the meal will be delicious-" She started thoughtfully, "And I want to thank you for inviting me to tag along! I couldn't have asked for a better road trip buddy than you." She finished warmly, gently placing her hand on his thigh, before quickly removing it. She didn't want to make any uncomfortable gestures.

In a way, Marty was used to being called chivalrous in one form or another. He'd been raised to respect his mother and to a degree women in general - his schooling only emphasized the same. How could he be anything but respectful in the company of a woman, especially one who was as seemingly kind and gentle as Emmet? She had been so open to talk through text with him, even about something as mundane as how his day went.

He laughed at her comment about his engine, something he'd heard before. In all logic it would've been wise to look in to a smaller, newer vehicle to use that didn't guzzle as much gasoline as this truck did. But in this, Marty was stubborn. He preferred his clunky but refurbished vehicle from decades past.

Her response to his gratitude couldn't have been more encouraging. The touch and graze away upon his thigh was unexpected - but was by all means welcome. "I couldn't have said it better myself if I tried," he agreed, turning on to the interstate. Their exit was about twenty minutes from where they were now, so Marty looked over to Emmet casually. "I like to skip over a lot of the city and suburbs, so it'll be awhile until we get to the scenic route. Feel free to take control of the music," he offered as he gestured to the radio, adding with a charming grin, "or you could tell me about your day and plans for the weekend instead. To be honest I have to admit I'd be more interested in listening to the latter."

Emmet was definitely relieved that Marty didn't tense up at her gentle touch, but then again, she had barely grazed his thigh. She watched out of her window and let out a content sigh. There was always something so comforting about being on the road, especially being on a scenic route. She turned to Marty and smiled, "It's okay. I've come up with plenty of annoying road trip games for us to play." She joked, tucking a strand of her now blonde hair behind her ear.

At the approval of choosing the music Emmet clapped excitedly like a child and quickly flipped on a popular 70's, 80's and 90's music station. She turned the volume down low enough for the music to be heard, but also able to converse over. "Well I suppose I could tell you all about my interesting day of grading papers-" Emmet explained.

"-One of my students had the audacity to write 'Mademoiselle Tremaux a un corps incroyable'- which is flattering yet uncomfortable to hear from a student." Emmet added, her French accent very prominent when she spoke those words. She quickly shook her head, "How rude of me, I should probably translate. A student wrote 'Miss Tremaux has an amazing body." Emmet said with a giggle.

She did however quickly change the subject though. "I don't have much planned for the weekend, aside from having some wine and catching up on How To Get Away With Murder on Netflix with my cat." She admitted, her cheeks slightly reddening.

Emmet felt confident enough to gently place her hand on Marty's thigh again, not as a sexual gesture, but a friendly one. "How about you Mr. Marty? Going to any crazy parties?" She asked with a grin and a raised brow.
"'Cause if you aren't too busy, we could be typical adults and have a wine and cheese night." She suggested with a grin.

Marty gave her a promising look when she mentioned road trip games, and pointedly spoke: "I'm holding you to that, so you better deliver when I'm feeling the need for an annoyance." Which would be eventual, he was sure. Though he wasn't used to even having the radio on during his road trips alone, he could appreciate anything and everything Emmet was willing to provide. It gave him a nice change of pace, where he didn't have to think about things. He could just share her company with his and make the most of that. His fingers subconsciously tapped upon the steering wheel to the beat of an oldies tune, glancing over as she began to divulge about her grading.

Marty had a grasp on quite a few languages, one of which was french, so when she smoothly spoke the words a grin played over his lips. "Sounds to me like they knew what they were talking about," he chuckled after her translation, recalling a compliment in the language, "Votre corps incroyable est sculptée par nuages célestes." Marty's brows raised at her before he looked back to the highway ahead. "I went to an academy for young gentlemen back in England, french was one of our required languages to learn. But I have to admit I didn't absorb as much as I would've liked to."

He left it at that, her uneventful plans for the weekend actually sounding very nice as opposed to his previous weekends either spent busily crafting rustic furniture or tailing behind his teacher buddies. He liked remembering his nights, with them the chances of doing so were slim to none. Marty laughed at her crazy parties comment, "Not if I can help it," he continued humoredly, "I'd absolutely love to take you up on that offer. Sometimes I think it is better for us to act our age. I have a theory that it keeps us younger that way." Marty's grin widened, because her hand hadn't yet left his thigh and he could feel the gentle warmth that exuded from her palm. His right hand drifted down from the steering wheel and closed upon hers. "This is of course, if your cat approves of me."

That kind of stuff could be saved for sex. A blush crept across Emmet's cheeks at the compliment and at the thought of possibly sleeping with Marty. Normally she didn't have thoughts like that, but she couldn't help it. There was something so sexy about him speaking French to her. She giggled girlishly, "Regardez-vous monsieur charmant." Emmet replied playfully. It was nice being able to speak French to someone who could somewhat reciprocate the language.

She raised her brow playfully at him, "Oh? a school for young gentlemen? I can only imagine how that must have been. I went to an all girls school, I definitely did some questionable things then." She admitted with a shrug. Her sub-text spoke volumes, however.

"Well it definitely seems like West and Miles might be a little jealous if you choose to spend some time with me this weekend instead of them-" She started with a playful tone, her cheeks heated up when Marty placed his hand over hers. "-You don't have to worry about my cat....it's my hedgehog Algernon that's the judgmental one." Emmet finally finished, giving Marty a light squeeze on his thigh and a reassuring grin.

It was evident on his face as he smiled over to her that he definitely would like to see the aggressive side she spoke of, "You don't say?" he commented in interest, "I think this is the first time I've ever been disappointed to be going somewhere that is severely lacking in VW buggys. Maybe it's a game better played at another time." Marty decided, looking back towards the road and gauging how much more time it'd be until the Paradise exit. "Je regarde, madame incroyable." he replied back just as playfully before chuckling, "It's nice to be able to practice, actually. I haven't thought about French in ages."

Her mentioning questionable things was enough to pique Marty's interests, if they weren't piqued enough. His expression replied for him, and he shook his head at her own conclusion. "They can do well without me, though I'm certain West would be disappointed - I don't live to entertain either of them." he stated certainly, knowing that he would much prefer a quiet evening with Emmet to a rambunctious night on the town.

Marty laughed, "Well how about I bring some flowers for him and butter him up?" he gave her hand a light squeeze before taking the wheel again. At the rate that they were going, they'd surely get to the Paradise exit before ten minutes passed. Something about her hand on his thigh made his foot really friendly with the accelerator pedal.

Emmet just giggled at Marty's reaction to her bringing up questionable things at an all girl's school. That was so long ago, so talking about it would just be nostalgic if anything. "When you're deprived from men, other than old school teachers and going through puberty you have to find creative ways to get off." Emmet explained casually, smirking at Marty. Tastefully talking about sexuality was acceptable between two adults, or at least that's how Emmet always saw it. It wasn't like she was speaking explicitly or anything.

She nodded when Marty spoke again. "I can definitely imagine West being disappointed...and throwing a fit or something silly-" Emmet started, chuckling at the thought of West, a grown man, throwing a fit over not hanging out with Marty.
"-but you're right. You're a big boy, you can do whatever you want!" She finished, waving her free hand dismissively.

Emmet's face was starting to hurt from grinning so much, and it didn't help her case when Marty gave her hand a light squeeze. She almost forgot how to speak for a moment before regaining her composure. "I'm sure Algernon would appreciate the flowers greatly...I'll admit Algernon and flowers would make for some good social media pictures." She commented, the grin still on her face. She had no idea how long they had been driving, but she didn't care because of how much she enjoyed Marty's company right now.

Marty liked the little challenge behind Emmet's words. "Well we'll see about that, I may be more fluent than we both think." He smirked lightly, not toning down the flirtatious quality in his words and definitely not hiding the twist of his smirk when she spoke of her schooling years. Since she brought it up, he knew it was fair game now to picture her at the time - young and nubile and craving the touch of another. If anything could make him rev his engine on accident, it would be the mental picture floating in his head right now. "I imagine that you don't have as much trouble with getting off now as you did back then," he replied, though she definitely didn't seem much like the kind of woman that slept around too often. Maybe only when the time was just right.

He laughed as she mentioned West throwing a fit because that was something he could see happening - especially if the man called him already drunk and needing a buddy to share some drinks and company. Ever since Miles stepped away from hanging out with the man, Marty felt like he was obligated to fill in the gaps... but he needed a nice quiet weekend as well as he was sure West could benefit from the same. He nodded as she concluded it simply enough. "Damn right," he agreed emphatically, looking back to the road and seeing the sign for the Paradise exit, but five miles away. "and if I want to spend my time with the loveliest lady in the faculty, there's no stopping me." Marty concluded in his own way, giving a confident wink over at her.

"That's exactly my sentiment. We'll make Algernon so meme famous that there would be no way he could bear to dislike me." Marty laughed, getting ready to finally turn off the highway. "We're almost there, Paradise, California." he mentioned merrily, gesturing ahead at the impending exit sign.

She waved her free hand dismissively once more. "Hmm I don't know if I'm the loveliest...Ms. Summers is also gorgeous." She replied, taking a look out the window, noticing that their exit was coming up.

"Oh I would be so proud if my little Algernon became a meme." Emmet finally spoke, giggling at Marty's playful suggestion. As they took the exit towards Paradise, Emmet gave Marty's thigh another gentle squeeze, expressing her excitement for their final destination. There was something so great about the chemistry between them.
As they continued to drive through their route, the sky appeared to be getting a bit darker, and the low grumble of thunder startled Emmet, cause her to flinch slightly.

She looked over at Marty with a confused look, "The weather channel said there would be no rain today..." Emmet commented.

"Many of us adults favor fooling about over actual relationships, if you've noticed." Marty responded passively, chuckling in addition, "But, I'm in the same boat with you. There's luck in the getting off department, but from there I'm on my own. So to speak," He kept his tone light as he grinned over at her, but his words had a weight to them. As she waved off his compliment he shook his head, "Miss Summers may be attractive, but she's not my type." The way he spoke was enough to imply that where Susan wasn't, she certainly was. And she was. Emmet was lovely, kind, modest to a fine and respectable degree, French, just - just about everything he could want in someone that he could see himself being with.

Marty kept up a humored chuckle, picturing the rodent-like creature becoming internet famous with just the right posturing and description. "We'll see what we can do this weekend then, if I keep up my good behavior." Even though he was mainly a carpenter and many other things, Marty could also be a damned good set designer. The truck glided down the exit ramp and he couldn't help but savor how her hand remained in place. Granted, if it slipped a little higher up his leg he would be more amused, but he didn't mind taking things slow. With how they met and how they had been talking - there was a quality that Marty liked, far from the more available woman who he had access to. He liked the wait and getting to know her, there was a sort of... je nes sais quoi to it.

He was definitely looking forward to showing her about the small and quiet town, all the little alcoves and hideaways he'd found during his personal reflections. But when the thunder resounded, it looked like their drive was soon to take a turn. Marty gave Emmet a slight nudge and a smirk, "If it does, we're not about to let it put a damper on our date." Being used to a rainy climate, he saw the change in the weather as something other than debilitating.

She had to agree with that. Emmet had tried the casual dating thing and that was just a nightmare! Most of the grown men and women she had gone out and met acted like the students that she taught. Marty was definitely the most mature man that she had gone out with in a while. If she was being honest this was the first time that she'd gone out in a while after almost completely giving up on the dating scene, but she just knew that Marty wasn't like the other people around here. They got along well, had things in common, and could maintain a conversation whether it be able something completely random or something serious without it ever getting uncomfortable.

"People these days just seem to have a crazy fear of commitment I suppose-" Emmet started with a small shrug. "-I personally think it's time for me to settle down! I can't understand all of these booty call apps that my students are using." She admitted with a sigh. She was getting to that age where she just really wanted someone to spend her time with instead of someone to just play games with.

Emmet felt a blush creeping on her cheeks, she could pick up that Marty was implying that she was more his type than Ms. Summers. Marty knew just how to say things subtle enough to get the point across, but managing to stay discreet about it. With the bumps on the rode, Emmet's hand had slipped farther up on Marty's thigh than intended. She immediately replaced her hand at the spot it was at before.
"Rain wouldn't be the worst thing to happen..." and as if on cue, fat droplets on rain started landing on the windshield of Marty's truck.

"Oh goodness...I guess I jinxed it!" She commented playfully.

Marty smiled at her words as he drove, considering his own circumstantial stance on commitment. In a way, he never had the chance to really commit to one person - when he got close it'd been almost immediately taken away. After all of the mess and as he'd moved on from city to city in the states, he saw how involved yet detached most people were - how most of the women he'd met before moving to Salem had their own staunch independence that kicked in if he even thought to try to progress beyond 'just fooling around'. It was such a large contrast from his life in New Alresford, where the majority of residents were much older and contentedly married. As a young child he'd always looked upon them - wishing his parents were happy like that, wanting something similar - a relationship he could rely on and really honor. "I can completely relate," he replied, "after a while it just seems like the same thing over and over. I don't see any appeal in repeating myself the older I get."

A soft and simple smile resided upon his lips, turning inward upon itself as her hand was moved by the increasingly-jarring rockiness of the road. He chanced a glance at Emmet as she readjusted it, in silent appreciation that she hadn't removed it altogether. Marty had started to nod in agreement with her statement when the rain caught up with it and began to fall. Genuine laughter escaped from him in response to her. "As long as you don't mention anything about hail or tornadoes I think we'll make it through." His laughter slowly subsided as he brought his hand down upon hers again, giving a gentle squeeze before removing it with a touch of hesitation.

"This is it, Paradise in all it's down home glory." Marty chuckled as he gestured out the windshield blurred by the falling rain. "I was drawn here when I first moved to Salem. In a way it reminds me of my own home town... though, New Alresford isn't as weather-beaten and if there's any real body of water here it's likely to be dried up." His chuckle rumbled out again as he kept cheerful - though the skies above rumbled in a much different way. Marty glanced upwards as if the thunder had something to say about his statement. "But - it wouldn't be dried up for much longer, of course."

She nodded sincerely. It was a shame that so many people nowadays didn't even try to get a sense of committment. Sure it wasn't for everyone, but Emmet had a few traditional beliefs to say the least. Emmet giggled and felt her cheeks flush a bit with Marty's squeeze of her hand. With a free hand she tucked some hair behind her ear. "Don't worry...I don't want to be the cause of a 'natural' disaster in Paradise." Emmet commented, sticking her tongue out at Marty childishly. She looked out the window, only able to see a little bit past the torrents of rain falling.

Emmet looked out at the road ahead of them as they entered their destination. The view was still a bit limited, but she was able to see more than through her window. A dreamy sigh of appreciation escaped her lips as she admired what she could see. It definitely looked like a cozy town. A kind of hole in the wall spot. Emmet listened to Marty with fascination, they had talked a few times about their childhoods and stuff like that, but it was always nice to hear stories again. Emmet was always just interested in what Marty had to say.

"It's beautiful...and I'm sure it would look just as nice sans all of this rain." Emmet replied appreciatively. "I wish I had come across this spot on my own. It's so cozy." She shared her thoughts with him.

Marty's light smirk rose as he let a short and soft laugh out through his nostrils, “Wouldn't that be terrible,” he grinned at her expression, “they'd have to chase us both out of here with torches and pitchforks.” As he laughed and shook his head at the notion, he turned back to focus on his driving – not too far from the perfect spot to park.

He was so glad to see that Emmet was obviously enjoying herself, despite the weather. It showed him something about her that he probably wouldn't have seen until much later. She really seemed to enjoy the little things, much like him. Not many women he'd met were attracted by such simplicity. Unfortunately, most women he'd had the pleasure of spending time with were more concerned with their own reflection than how he saw them as people. They were not the kind of women that could look out in to the pouring rain and smile how Emmet smiled now.

Marty just had to silently marvel at her as the soundtrack of the falling rain engulfed the truck, nodding along at her observation, “It certainly looks nicer,” he responded, “but perhaps we can outstay the rain so you can see for yourself.” It was a possibility, though Marty wasn't crossing any fingers on that. “You should see the town's marketplace too, talk about cozy,” he joked fondly as he turned off the road, "there's a good reason why I brought lunch for us." The route they took wasn't marked nor was it paved to any degree, but Marty knew exactly where he was heading. They were led down an incline for a minute or so before he had to make a practiced but incredibly sharp left hand turn, advising her to "hold on," in a breath before he did.

He finally came to a stop underneath a large footbridge where the rain could be seen falling all around them but wasn't as distinctly heard as it'd been, pouring over the truck. "This is probably the best shelter from the rain we'll come by in miles," he laughed softly, looking over to Emmet
then down at her hand. He shifted a bit and slid his hand under hers, too tempted to lean forward and just kiss her now for his own good - but he didn't want to rush what felt like such a good thing. "Come on, lets say hello to Mother Nature." he encouraged, opening his door and tugging her over gently to exit through his door after him since hers was blocked by the wall of earth and rock.

"If said natural disaster didn't kill us first." Emmet replied with a giggle. She was positive that Marty knew her off-handed dark humor was something pretty regular with her. Though she was never exactly offensive like most people with an off sense of humor. As Marty made the turn off of the main road, Emmet clutched onto her seat belt for dear life, her eyes semi-widening in the process. Once the car had come to a halt, the windshield and windows were no longer blurred with falling rain. The bridge they had parked under was cascading the water off of the sides and it looked like a small, sparse waterfall. Emmet unbuckled her seat belt and smiled at Marty. "This is really nice." Was all Emmet could say. She felt his hand slip under hers and gave it a squeeze.

This honestly was the nicest date she had ever been on with anybody before and she had definitely played the dating game for a while. Most men and women wanted to get drinks and then go back to their place, but this was much different from that. Emmet felt Marty gently pulling her towards the driver's seat. It made sense because there was no way Emmet could get out of her side unless she was a twig!

"Lead the way, handsome." Emmet said, a bit of flirtatiousness in her tone. She scooted towards Marty's side of the truck and basically ended up sitting in his lap. "Well now how do you expect me to say hi to beautiful mother nature if you won't get your butt out of the truck?" She teased playfully, resisting the urge to play with his hair. Their faces were only a few inches apart and Emmet had never been more tempted to kiss anyone in her entire life, but there was a time for things and Emmet decided now was not the time. In her mind, the longer she waited to kiss Marty the better the kiss would be.

An inward smirk pulled over his lips as she called him handsome and didn't dare subside as he felt the weight of her body upon him. He narrowed his eyes at her playful demeanor and decided to play along. "I'm sure you could find a way around me," Marty arched his brow in amusement, chuckling in to the small gap between them. He softened his smile, almost startled by seeing her this close for the first time - feeling the soft trace of her exhale against his face. "but, I won't make you do that." Marty said before stirring, sliding his arm around her waist and descending from the truck effortlessly with her in tow.

He loosened his grip slowly, hesitatingly, "You know, I'm really starting to warm up to this road trip buddy idea. You're a keeper, Emmet." he spoke, leaning close to whisper enticingly in to her ear before releasing his arm completely and moving toward his truck bed's tool box - lifting up the lid.

Marty pulled out a large towel first, then handed over a cushioned quilt to her. "Now, before you start wondering about my ulterior motives, I must tell you I was planning on setting up a little picnic for us -" he moved toward the tail gate and lowered it, hopping in to the bed and dropping the towel. "but seeing as Miss Nature had other plans, we'll just have to improvise now won't we?" Marty grinned as he dried the truck bed, moving the towel around with his foot. He let the towel sit on the corner edge of the tailgate and held out his hand to Emmet to retrieve the large blanket, spreading it out in the bed itself before taking a seat. "Care to join me?" he offered out his hand, his smile brilliant as she approached.
