Miles' outfit
Miles couldn't help but note how more students came to see him unplanned on overcast days like this. Any other mild and sunny day he'd be sitting at his desk, twiddling his thumbs in wait of his next scheduled appointment - daydreaming out the window and wishing he could convince whomever it was about to walk through his door to take their session outside. He even had to turn away some of them, which he hated to do. But he penciled them in for later in the week. They'd most likely no-show by then but Miles didn't want to overwork himself, not today. He'd already been hit with an onslaught that morning, which caught him completely unaware. He knew better by the afternoon.
When the finally time came for his well deserved and needed lunch hour, he couldn't have left his office any faster. He thanked himself for having such a large breakfast that morning - he wasn't all that hungry and wouldn't have to spend half his relaxation time eating, with was refreshing. All he wanted to do was catch some fresh air and not overthink his day so far. Though he was well practiced in not letting student turmoil put stress upon him, the influx had been enough to push him up to the edge.
The casual walk out of the building was helping so much. He strolled at the easiest pace imaginable, letting his feet guide him along the grounds. The sun made many attempts to peek through the dense clouds, too thick to allow the muted light all the way through. Miles stopped by the food court and picked up a nice piece of fruit before venturing back outside. All it took was a little activity and Miles felt relatively back to normal. A relaxed grin graced his lips as he moved along. It felt so right to take his time now, after all the rushed advice and hurried listening - and he got the bright idea to extend his lunch hour until his next scheduled appointment, which sounded like the perfect idea right about now.
He took his sweet time before he decided to find a bench to sit at and relax. When he did, Miles discovered that he wasn't the only faculty member outside enjoying the subdued weather. Thanks to his research, Miles knew the guy's name and occupation but not much else had been made public. All the more reason to approach him, he decided, strolling directly over to his bench and speaking up. "Casey Caldwell - am I right?" Miles greeted with the friendliest of grins, not hesitating to take up the empty portion of the bench he sat upon. "It's great to catch you out here actually, I try to get acquainted with all of my fellow faculty members." With his emptied right hand, he offered out a handshake. "I'm Miles Lambert - guidance counselor here."
