Stellar Trax Records sat in the heart of the downtown area, next to the smoke shop and among the cluster of the most disreputable establishments in town. It was a constant beacon for attention during the day - with it's vibing tunes resounding out upon the streets through exterior speakers. It was set up this way to attract more than customers.
Unlike some of their... associates, Wade and Theo wanted the company of more villains, maybe as underlings but then again, maybe not. Of course some of their fellow villains were chill with them, some way too chill - but most tended to keep to themselves which was a huge let down. Figures that villains wouldn't stick together unless there was a dire need for it... and even then, even as the news of new heroes was whispered from the shadows - it seemed like they were the only ones to see this as something to be used to their advantage instead of being an obstacle. With the right persuasion, they could add more to their numbers. The sooner the better.
More news came, news that was more so catered to their interests than anything else. It helped that they always made sure that this shady informant felt welcome in their domain, though they knew that whoever brought them the news did so not out of favor to them, but rather for want of action. Cool by them. They needed the stuff too. After all, they didn't have much else to do if they had no minds to mess with. It was only fun for so long, using their powers on each other, tripping one another out. So the sound of fresh meat was definitely something that interested them, and the fact that this couple was said to have powers that would be to their interest - it was enough to try to lure and perhaps... persuade them to their side.
Ben held Indy's hand as they walked, the warning of the letter still had them cautious about the town they were in but it wasn't like they were going to hide away forever. That wasn't why they were here. "Hey, you hear that?" he asked with interest in his tone, the corner of his mouth lifting as the sound of music passed over them in the breeze. The sounds were intriguing, even from a distance. Ben looked over her with raised brows and a 'let's check it out' glimmer in his eye.
Eloise watched from the shadows, as she was prone to do, while the couple ventured through the town and practiced their powers. It seemed like they were getting the hang of them though it still made for some entertaining sights - her interests piqued when they caught wind of Theo and Wade's music. She lapsed in and out of shadow as he followed along, not wanting to miss this for anything. As they got closer the tunes seemed to shift, the genre definitely fitting more with their preferences. "Are you doing that?" he asked in good humor, making sure to keep an eye out as the welcoming sign of the record shop came in to view.
Wade was stoked to see the two arrivals at the front of the shop. His fingers wiggled at his sides in anticipation, hitting Theo's shoulder with the back of his hand. "Dude check it - got ourselves two live ones," he grinned to Theo - as if the guy didn't know already. Wade didn't want to seem as eager as he was, so he took a deep breath and let the couple wander in on their own - grabbing a stack of CD cases and making himself look busy on his way to the entrance. "Greetings cool cats - to Stellar Trax," he greeted to them once they stepped in, a serene smile passing over toward the two before he made eye contact with his partner. "we're, outta this world."
