After a week or so of searching, finally Gemma had managed to find a volunteer job that was super close by! She walked up the path that led to the Metric Academy Art's building. Holy cow! This building was almost as big as one of the wings at Salem high! Gemma suddenly felt inspired and decided that she absolutely NEEDED to get a picture of this beautiful building. She lifted her camera from around her neck and held it up to her face, backing up a little to get the building into the frame. Once she was content with the image through her lens, she snapped a few pictures. A grin spread across her lips as she lowered the camera back in front of her body, where it hung from a strap. "Oh I better quit messing around! I'm going to be late." Gemma scolded herself as she quickened her pace to the building. It was ten times more intimidating the closer she got to the building. She took in a deep breath and let it out before opening the door and making her way inside.
Once inside she looked down on to her phone, trying to find the text that she had received about where exactly she would be offering her volunteer services. "Okay, the theater shouldn't be too hard to find..." She mumbled to herself as she looked around for some sort of sign that indicated which direction the theater would be in. Luckily she didn't have to search too long because there was a sign right on the wall the had a red arrow pointing to the way to the theater. Gemma shuffled through the large hallway, admiring the art on the walls. She was incredibly tempted to snap some more pictures, but she didn't want to leave a bad impression by being late. "This can wait until after." She assured herself, finally finding the large wooden double doors that led to the theater.
The cool air from inside the theater greeted her as she stepped into the large space. Her eyes widened in amazement. Salem high's theater room wasn't nearly this big! She looked around and spotted an older girl with a clipboard and headset. "Hi! I have to sign in for the volunteer program~" Gemma informed the girl happily. The girl with the clipboard smiled at Gemma, "Name?" She asked her.
"Gemma Olson!" Gemma replied with a wide grin. The other girl scanned the clipboard over once and seemed to have spotted Gemma's name. She wrote something in on the clipboard and looked back up at Gemma. "Here let me take you backstage, someone there will fill ya in one what you'll be helping with." The clipboard girl said, starting to walk away, she motioned for Gemma to follow and she did. Now that she was backstage, she just had to wait for someone to fill her in. Gemma cheerfully to herself as she waited.
