Ben's outfit
So this really wasn't Ben's kind of place. The second he stepped in front of the club he recoiled slightly. The excess and just... everything about it wasn't what he wanted to dive blindly in to but, he'd convinced himself to come this far. Plus, he didn't want to snub the invitation of someone he actually found interest in. It wasn't like that happened often. Whether it was the fact she'd seen his act so he thought to return the favor, or if it was because she'd caught him completely off guard with her flyer and her blue hair... well, it didn't matter. He was here because she thought to invite him, and maybe because she was nice to look at too.
At least the club wasn't hard to get in to. It wasn't like the exclusive clubs of the movies or whatever, which helped his mood a bit. Actually, he wasn't even feeling that sour. Probably because instead of brooding at home he had somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to actually meet for a change. Gave his thoughts somewhere else go to instead of inward and probing like usual. The door guy barely even looked at his ID before handing it back and waving him in - so before he knew it he was inside the expanse and enveloped in the throbbing music. Music, the real reason he was here. He didn't shove his way through the crowd like he probably would've if he hadn't come here willingly - he kept to the sides of the venue, snagging a full beer from an empty table before getting closer to where the sound was originating.
He wasn't used to enjoying electronic music, it seemed lazy to him - but there was nothing lazy about the way she was moving around. It got the dancing crowd so pumped up and as the full bottle turned empty he was actually tempted to join in the feel of it. Eh, maybe after another. The track slowed, something was mumbled about a short break and Ben saw it as the perfect time to approach the DJ booth. He wasn't sure if he was even that noticeable, dressed as colorless as he was, so he stepped up as close as he could. "Great set," he nearly yelled over the booming dance music that had started to replace what she'd been spinning. "I think your energy was contagious out there." His observations were probably stuff she'd heard before, but hey, if he could recall - she'd said things that were just as predictable though there was some obvious substance behind them. Another convincing factor in his being here in the first place. "So thanks for the flyer, I think I've put it to good use."
