BASICS
Name ||
Fletcher Kearce Willoughby
Nickname ||
There are only two names he will ever go by and those are Fletcher and Fletch. He has no tolerance for cutesy nicknames unless he is extremely close to a person.
Age ||
Just recently turned 21
Reputation ||
Fletch has a very notorious reputation in town ever since he moved in. He’s quite a loner and always causing some sort of trouble. Through the rebellious inner circles he is known as one of the best dealers in town but if he finds out someone has been snitching he is not afraid to take matters into his own hands. He’s known for his hard exterior and complete lack of any moral fiber.
Job ||
Fletcher is the town mechanic and his job is probably the one thing he actually takes seriously. He started working on cars with his grandfather and has been at it ever since. It has gotten to the point where he can tell what’s wrong with a vehicle just by sound alone. On the side he also deals which brings him in the real big bucks.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
Best friend(s) ||
The only best friend he has is Everleigh Brooks who still resides in Briarwood. She is the only one who managed to get through to him and see his sensitive side. Another good friend of his was Dylan who also remains back in his hometown. He has yet to make any friends in Salem and that really isn’t his main priority. Friends are weakness.
Enemies/Rivals ||
None yet, but there are sure to be some!
Sexuality ||
Straight but could probably go both ways if he’s messed up enough
Relationship Status ||
Single. The relationship life really isn’t for him. He’s a player and always will be because he refuses to let anyone in.
APPEARANCE
Height/Body Type ||
Fletcher stands at 6’1 and, although his height may be intimidating, he is rather lanky which makes him not appear as much of a threat. The only real muscle he has is in his abdominal and his calves (from running). Although he has a ravenous appetite and only really eats junk food, he has a high metabolism which allows him to stay his skinny, gangly self. Also, his hipbones are visible when he is not wearing a shirt (which no one has ever seen, so don’t get your hopes up).
Hair color ||
His hair is a dirty blonde which is a shade darker at the roots. He never allows it to grow longer than past his earlobes yet doesn’t really take much care of it other than the monthly haircut. There is a natural wave to his hair and it is terribly thick, so it can be quite the bother in the summer. Most of the time, it appears as if he’s just rolled out of bed mainly because he seldom runs a brush through it.
Eye color ||
Dark brown that appear almost black depending on the light
Clothing style ||
He if very particular in what he wears and cannot tolerate feeling itchy, uncomfortable or too cold. Maybe it’s his icy heart, but Fletch always seemed to be too cold, so he is constantly dressing in layers. His typical outfit consists of a beat-up pair of jeans with holes in the knees and chains dangling from the pockets, a simple colored t-shirt, and a long sleeved flannel. Some of his clothes have the appearance that they haven’t been washed in awhile which is totally misleading because his mother is insanely neat and always doing his laundry for him.

Personality ||
Independent|Brutally honest|Guarded|Intellegent|Carefree|Obsessive|Daring|Sarcastic|Dark|Compulsive Liar|Gentle|Thoughtful
Fletcher doesn’t mind being on his own. In fact, he prefers to be alone most of the time rather than being surrounded by people. Having spent most of his life teenage life fending for himself, he can do everything on his own and prefers to do things by himself. It is very rare that he will ever ask for help because he is too stubborn to admit that occasionally he will have to rely on others.
If a person wants his opinion, they better be ready for the cold truth. Fletch has no filter whatsoever and will say exactly what he is thinking without giving it much thought. He does not care if his words will upset a person or make them angry, he expresses his opinion honestly (no matter how brutal it might be). However, even though he is brutally honest when asked opinions, he is also a compulsive liar. He’ll lie about almost anything to spice up a story or get his butt out of trouble.
Even though his grades were terrible when he was in school, he is actually a very intellectual person. People often think he is slow or academically challenged just because of what they see from him, but it is all just for show. The truth is he just doesn’t care for school and doesn’t see a point in having to do most of the work when it consists of worksheets and meaningless crap.
He has a very addictive personality, so once he finds something he likes, he tends to obsess about it. When he finds a food he likes, he’ll stockpile on it; when he finds a show he likes, he’ll keep watching until he’s completed all the seasons; and when he finds a person he likes, he’ll stick to their side like glue. However, the last one isn’t as likely as the first two.
Fletch tends to be rather dark. He likes the strange and grotesque and isn’t afraid to scare people with his knowledge of things that go bump in the night.
However, is not a terrible person. Once he allows people into his life, he is a great friend. Despite his hard exterior, he can be very gentle and doesn’t like to get into physical fights. When he wants to be, he can be quite the softie toward his friends which makes up for all the hard times he puts them through. There is payoff to dealing with his madness.
Hobbies ||
Music, writing on the old typewriter handed down to him from his grandfather, working on cars, ghost hunting, and riding his motorcycle
BACKGROUND/FAMILY
Family ||
Parents – Clark and Eden Willoughby – Doctor and nurse duo – Eden had Fletch when she was 40-years-old. He was primarily raised by his grandfather who passed away which meant the relationship he had with his parents was pretty strained. They loved him but he rarely saw them. He’ll get calls from them every once in awhile but he talks to his sister much more.
Brothers – Sawyer and Alec Willoughby – Doctors Both brothers took after their parents and went to medical school. They both married blonde trophy wives and had children. Fletch hates both of them.
Sister – India James – Restaurant owner His sister India is the one he goes to when he’s having a hard time. She went to cooking school and started her own restaurant, marrying one of the head pastry chefs. They have two kids who Fletcher constantly babysits and loves dearly. Even though there is a ten year gap between his sister and himself, they get along well, and India is very protective of him. He has wound up sleeping on her couch multiple times when he finds himself in a fix.
Goddaughter – Maisie Reynolds – 3 Maisie is the daughter of his best friend Everleigh and her fiancé Aaron. At first he was pissed when he found out his best friend was pregnant especially since the conception of Maisie happened while both parents were wasted but as soon as the little girl was born he mellowed out. He loves her to death and is always sending Everleigh money to help her with raising the little girl even though Ev insists he stops.
Backstory ||
Clark and Eden had always been respectable, intelligent people. It seemed only logical that eventually they would meet and fall in love. This happened their freshman year of college. Both of them were interested in the medical field, so they had plenty of classes together which allowed them to know each other better. At 22, Eden graduated and went on to become a nurse while Clark kept on the education track to med school. They started out living in a small apartment but once Sawyer was born, they moved into a house. Three years later, Alec was born and four years after that India arrived. When India was born, Clark was already a well-known doctor and excellent at his work. Eden worked as his nurse, and the two pulled in plenty of money together, so the family moved into a larger house.
Ten years of success and child-raising later, Eden found out that (at the age of 40) she was going to be a mother again. Of course, this had not been part of their plan, but sometimes the world has a funny way of dealing the cards. So, they accepted the matter and received only the best medical care for their child since Eden was at an older age than most mothers.
Having such a dramatic age difference between his siblings, Fletcher did not click with them as well as most siblings do. This was specifically true when it came to his brothers. His sister India took a fondness to him and was the go-to babysitter.
However, when she wasn’t available, he would be sent to his grandfather’s while he parents went to work. It didn’t take long for him to form a close bond with his grandfather Norman who he lovingly called ‘Papaw’. His grandfather would sit down and watch silent movies with him and even taught him how to play the acoustic guitar.
In school, he was a bright child with a promising future. He kept his nose clean and demonstrated proper manners. However, once middle school hit he began to be bullied which caused him to withdraw into himself. He started hanging out with the wrong people in order to protect himself from the bullies and started to get messed up in things he shouldn’t. Freshman year, he had his first hit of marijuana and things only went downhill from there.
He would go to parties, and at these parties there was always this one guy in the corner injecting himself with something he called a ‘miracle elixir’ which was actually dilaudid. The guy would always ask Fletcher if he wanted to try it, but he would always say no. That is, until the day his grandfather died. The man had been so close to his heart, the loss really took a toll on Fletch. So, he agreed to the dilaudid to numb the pain.
His addictive personality just made things worse, so he constantly felt like he needed it. It was one of these episodes that drove him to an alley where he purchased the stuff. He used, then collapsed, driven into a shaky mess. It just so happened at that moment a girl was on her way home from work and stopped to check on him. He didn’t remember much, but as his vision blurred, he heard her calling 911.
Fletcher woke up in a hospital, in a white room. The girl from the alley came forward, matching the white room in her white dress. Was this heaven? The ‘angel’ introduced herself as Everleigh and told him his parents were on his way. He didn’t want his parents to see him like that, he didn’t want them to know, but it was too late. They send him to rehab, and he was kicked out of the prestigious school he attended.
After half a year, he was clean…for awhile, but then he started using again. His battles with the Briarwood cops soon became all to frequent and he decided to skip town and move to a different location. He eventually returned for the birth of his best friend’s kid and visits every once in awhile but for now he’s trying his best to settle into his new environment.
