When Chase said he was planning on creating a chocolate gun, he wasn't kidding! There had been a lot of reworking, a lot of planning, a lot of trying different chocolates...ok well Clint had a part in most of that since Chase did not want to risk breaking another water gun...and a lot of tasting the leftover chocolate. But it was worth it. They could finally but the guns to the test. Chase and Clint had arrived at the park a little bit ago, in search of the perfect location for the chocolate war. They ended up settling on an area with some rocks to hide behind, a bunch of bushes and a buttload of trees. It'd be like they were having a paintball fight without the paintballs. Chad unfortunately had never been able to be part of a paintball fight before, but he assumed an area like this did the trick. He tied his thick curls back into a ponytail - not like it mattered, since he'd get covered in chocolate anyway. Above his forehead rested a pair of goggles. Aside from that he was also wearing a camo tank top under an almost jungle-themed sweat jacket and a pair of old ripped jeans he could care less about.
Chase was pretty pumped for this, especially after Max had agreed to it. She and her friend should be arriving in a while, but Chase was sure that whoever she got they didn't stand a chance against the dream team. Luckily though, this wasn't another date so the pressure was kind of off. Actually, they had yet to set a time for their next date, but had that whole thing planned out! Chase was looking forward to it though, as with the chocolate war. He liked hanging around Max. Even though they were kinda two different people they seemed to have a bit in common. They both had a great sense of humor, for one thing. And they shared a love of chocolate. The thing with Chase was though, he didn't really talk about his dates much. Actually...he never really expected much from them. Usually after a couple of dates he lost interest in the girl. Something didn't click or something blew up or...just something wasn't right. This was different. And because of that, Chase had to make sure to brush it off to Clint like it was nothing. The last thing he wanted was his best friend teasing him about something...else. Let's be honest, they teased each other about a lot of things. But, in a way, this could be good. Since Chase never lucked out with any girls seriously, bringing Max around Clint could help show if they were a good match or not. Maybe Clint would see something similar the way Chase did. At least then Chase would feel a little less crazy.
"So we got everything right?" Chase asked looking around. The four guns were set in front of him and filled with chocolate. Chase had also grabbed a cooler of water so they could rehydrate. Did they need to bring any extra chocolate to refill the guns with in the middle of the fight? Meh, Clint probably took care of that. He always covered what Chase forgot. Chase briefly moved the goggled over his eyes, just to make sure they were adjusted right. No good was going to come out of getting chocolate in his eyes if it seeped through his protective gear! "So the girls should be here soon. We just have to make sure we agree on the rules and see if anyone can come up with anything else." Chase was just hoping that the losers still didn't have to make dinner for the winners. Not that Chase thought he and Clint were going to lose or anything. But he really didn't want to be stuck in the kitchen. And he could barely cook to save his life. Even if he could win Max over with his charm, good looks, sense of humor and all that other good stuff, Chase knew his lack of cooking skills was not going to impress anyone. Why was he thinking so much about this, anyway? He didn't need to worry about something like cooking. Or even losing. He'd already made a good impression at dinner and that would continue when it'd be time for their PacMan battle. But he still looked good, right? She could totally see how toned his abs were through his tank, right...? Dammit, he had to focus! They were only on one date! It wasn't like it was going to lead into anything.... Was it? Chase shook his head. he really had to cover his butt and make sure Clint didn't say anything. "Oh hey, think we should get a couple of shots of the guns working at all? I don't think everyone'll believe us when we tell them about our great chocolate war."
