He should have known she would do something perverted. Arthur was already regretting folding the towel around her this way. He could have just thrown the damn thing at her! She would have figured out the rest! But no, he had to go and do this, and he already hated the fact that he was so close to her damn face he could see how bright her eyes actually were against her skin. As expected she made a comment and he was about to give up and release the blanket and back away when she leaned up and started to run her tongue along his neck. Arthur’s breathing was slightly irregular now, as he tried to stop thinking about what the fuck Maxine had just done. She really was a piece of work, wasn’t she?! ”Shut up! I was not groping you. I was trying to cover your damn tits!” He snapped, and when she said that was tame he again shivered and hugged himself. ”Lucky? No! You keep fucking harassing me! If you’re just going to harass me all night how about you fucking go back to your dorm and just let Chad mope when he wakes up to an empty bed, huh!?”

Arthur frowned over at Maxine, who at least was keeping the blanket wrapped around her chest. He was thankful for that much.

”For one, I’m not a big mean man. Maybe I’m mean. But I’m not some creep. And I can guarantee my suitemates would back me up. Maybe not Chad, but Todd and Ace now you.” Then again... he didn’t really get along with either of them and neither one wanted to cause conflict. His expression squirmed slightly when he realized maybe eh actually wouldn’t have anyone on his side if Maxine did take it a step too far. Not to mention, everyone would just make fun of him for not being into it, or call him gay. Maybe they’d call him a liar if he insisted he wasn’t. Because guys always had to want sex, right? He looked away from Maxine at that thought. There really was a double standard and as much as he hated the idea of men taking advantage of women – especially the women he loved like his sister and niece – if the situations were reversed people would just react like Maxine was. Who cared about his comfort level, because she was hot, right? So obviously he had to want her.

He rose his eyebrows when she said Chad didn’t like to stay and cuddle either, and kept his distance from her. ”Why the fuck are you getting off on my discomfort?! Get a hobby that’s not sex,” he said and, when she said she didn’t cuddle, he sneered. ”Maybe you could use some physical contact that’s not sexual in your life. But obviously, it’s a foreign concept to you.”

Well, he knew neither Todd nor Ace could actually stand up to Maxine in a fight – not that either one could hurt a fly, to be honest – but he didn’t think he could trust them enough to testify against her. Well. He wasn’t actually planning to file a harassment case against Maxine. It was too much work and unless she actually cornered him in the shower or shoved her hand down his pants or something of the like, he was just going to suffer until he could afford to rent his own apartment next year. Then he wouldn’t have to deal with anyone except his neighbors, and he would be sure to not get a roommate and risk this. It was kind of lonely, the idea of living alone, but he really didn’t have any friends who he’d be comfortable splitting the rent on an apartment with.

He didn’t look convinced when she said she was fine. He noticed she’d avoided answering his first question, but he figured it was just her enjoying his reactions. People liked to taunt him and tease him sometimes – he was used to it. Didn’t make it any less annoying, but he was used to it. ”Obviously you’re not fine. But I don’t really give a shit either way, so go ahead and keep having mindless sex for all I care. I’m not your friend.”

Obviously whatever he’d said had a negative effect on her. He could have made a comment about her finding people who didn’t want her fun to harass, about how that wasn’t fair or right despite the fact that she was single. But, instead, she snapped a quip back at him that made his brows raise and his eyes widen. Then, his lip slowly started twitching up into a smirk.

”I struck a chord, huh? Can’t stand hugs and cuddles?” He asked at the anger. He didn’t step towards her but he didn’t back away either, instead looking at her with amusement. So she obviously had something wrong in her mind – maybe she had a friend betray her or something. Or maybe touched her in the wrong way. Whoever it was, whatever her story was, Arthur didn’t care as long as it gave him an advantage over her like it did now. ”Who was the one trying to be my fucking bestie earlier?”

She wasn’t smiling anymore. She looked about as uncomfortable as he had earlier – or maybe not uncomfortable, but angry. She looked as angry as he had been earlier and it did nothing but satisfy Arthur. So she had issues with intimacy, huh? He wasn’t surprised. He couldn’t imagine anyone on this earth who would want to put up with her aside from as someone to sleep with – which she obviously did, with practically everyone – and her stiff response just made his smirk more prominent.

”Well I wouldn’t want to be friends with someone as shallow as you are, anyway. You can keep your mindless sex. That’s all you’re good at, right?” He snorted at that, and when she called him vanilla again he rolled his eyes. ”I’m not vanilla. I'm just not a whore like you are.”

Arthur wasn’t expecting to be shoved against the wall by Maxine and was caught off-guard when she did so, suddenly finding himself caged between her arms. The towel obscuring her nakedness pooled to the ground at her feet, and he felt trapped for more than one reason. She had a hard look in her eyes, and annoyed one, and for a split second he was overcome with a fear that she was going to try to touch him more perversely than she’d been doing before. Maybe she found him rejecting her hot – maybe she wanted to ‘convince’ him he was wrong by raping him. Oh, fuck he hoped that didn’t happen. What the hell was he going to do if she tried to seduce him and slid her hand down his pants? Who the hell was going to believe he said no? And if he shoved her off of him, what was going to stop her from claiming he’d tried the reverse on her? He didn’t have the best reputation for his temper. Despite Maxine’s well-known perverse nature, it was clear to see which side they’d pick.

But it didn’t, and instead she spoke up again, angry at his words from before. So she was angry he assumed that he knew her, what she was about, and called her a whore. Oh. His fear subsided to irritation and though the fact she was naked in front of him made him uncomfortable, when she was this close to him, he could focus on her face and just try not to think about the fact that her bare boobs were close to his chest.

”I’m not pretending. I know what you are.” He said, not backing up from her anymore or to touch her. He folded his arms in front of his chest and gave her a hard stare. He was used to being shoved against walls when he was in middle school -- not usually by girls, though. And he didn’t want to fight Maxine – not that he could probably take her – he didn’t really have training. He could defend himself against bullies, and picked fights sometimes, but he wasn’t that much taller than Maxine nor was he much bulkier. He tried to focus on things other than the fact she was naked in front of him – like her eyes – which were glaring over at him. ”You’re the pathetic fuck. Literally. You’re only someone’s booty call and nothing else. You don’t even have any friends. Get the fuck off of me.”
