Chad’s eyes had no reason to wander at the moment. Wyatt was in front of him, looking gorgeous and sexy and he wanted nothing more than to claim her right now, sweep her up off her feet and into his bedchambers, and thrust inside her. But he couldn’t, there were all these formalities to go through, and it annoyed Chad greatly. He didn’t hear Mal when she spoke up until Wyatt maneuvered herself out of his grasp, and he frowned. Why was she moving away from him? Chad peered around Wyatt to look at the handmaiden.
She was quiet, soft-spoken, and didn’t meet his gaze. He looked over her figure. Though she was clothed in a modest robe, he was sure she had to have a nice one. Her hair was red much like Wyatt’s. He eyed her just like he would eye any woman. Though when Wyatt spoke again she stole his attention, and he grinned and took the wine from Mal and pulled Wyatt closer to him.
”Oh, who cares about some handmaiden taking a long time. I appreciated it – it gave me more time to spend with you without interruption,” He said, the fingers of his hand place delicately on Wyatt’s waist drumming small patterns. He took a sip of the wine in his other hand. ”So, Lady Wyatt, would you be interested in that riding trip I mentioned? Would a week’s time be good for you?”-x-
Queen Richardson hummed her response to Helena, though her attention was on the young couple and the handmaiden that was approaching Wyatt with wine. She was concerned, for her son’s wandering eye. For him to deviate his attention from his betrothed in such a public space would be detrimental. But then his attention was again captured by Wyatt and Queen Richardson had to give the woman credit. She knew how to entice a man. She just hoped that enticement lasted until their wedding day. After Wyatt had produced an heir, it wouldn’t matter if Chad had affairs. Just as long as his firstborn son was from Wyatt.
”I should hope so. I am the queen.” She said, turning towards a servant. She told him to fetch her and Lady Prescott something to drink. ”We should set a date for their wedding. I would like to keep it in the summer, for King’s Landing is loveliest during that season. It may be soon, but why prolong their engagement? They already look so enraptured with one another, I see no reason to.”
