Giovanni was overly excited about the fact that he was meeting Jasleen for what they called Happy Hour - he had been waiting for it to turn to 6pm all day. In actual fact, their Happy Hour seemed to last several hours, sometimes turning into a full night of partying. And the thought of that made Giovanni very happy. His Saturday had been very busy - he had spent the full day teaching at a local dance studio. A few drinks would be the perfect way to help him relax. Or maybe turning it into a lot of drinks and dancing the rest of his night away. Well, why not make a full day of it? Dance was his sole purpose in life, after all!
Clicking play on his iPod docking station, he made his way into his shower, turning the dial from medium to hot, the water emerging from the nozzle in a forceful spray. The heat and the force hitting his shoulders made him sigh in relief, arching his back to make the water hit the right spot to where he was aching the most. His party playlist blasted out loud and he couldn't help but sing along to Beyonce's 7/11. It was one of his favourite songs and also favourite dances he had ever performed. It was the most requested dance that students wanted to see when he taught at different studios. He washed his body, paying particular attention to his defined abs - but only because he loved that he has abs - and put the shampoo on his hair, spiking it up as high as it would stand. He laughed to himself at the reflection in the glass doors. After washing the bubbles from his hair, he turned the shower off, opening the door and immediately steaming his bathroom mirrors up. "God, I'm so hot!" He flirted with himself, something he did quite often. It was almost ironic that the next song to play was Beyonce's Ego. He sang along under his breath. "It's too big, it's too wide, it's too strong, it won't fit.." He picked his toothbrush up, squeezing the blue and white striped paste out onto it. "It's too much, it's too tough, he talk like this 'cause he can back it up.." He put his heart into singing the last part of the lyrics, guaranteed to make his housemates shudder with his terrible voice. "He got a big egooooo, such a huge egooooooo!" For a lot of people, Giovanni was definitely not their cup of tea. He could come across as very arrogant and cocky. He never meant to seem that way, he was just overly confident and constantly wanted to have fun.
He brushed his teeth before dropping his towel onto the wet bathroom floor, making his way back to his bedroom. His outfit was already hung up ready to go, so he began to get dressed. He had chose to wear one of his favourite t shirts, a plain gray shirt with the quote 'Oh Hey My Grey' on the front. It made him smile every time he wore it, and he knew Jas would appreciate it as they watched the movie, 50 Shades of Grey, together. He decided to text Jasleen, letting her know how long he would be.
'Be there in half an hour my sexy caramel cupcake.'
All that was left was to spray his aftershave, and he made his way down the stairs to his door. He grabbed his scarf from the hangers, a very staple piece in his wardrobe. He felt almost naked if he went outside without a scarf on. Next was his leather jacket, another typical Giovanni outfit choice. Sliding his boots onto his feet, he shouted his goodbye's to the people in his house and stepped outside. He was generally so busy that he didn't spend as much time with them at home as he should, but it wasn't intentional - they knew his life was very chaotic. His boots crunched on the stones underneath his feet as he walked, the air crisp and cool. He could see the fog from his mouth as he breathed out, making it look like he was smoking. It didn't take as long as expected to reach the bar, so he decided to choose a table and order them both a drink as he knew Jas wouldn't be long. He ordered them both a Sex on the Beach cocktail, along with a bowl of sweet potato fries for the table. He had realised he hadn't eaten much today and had burnt a ton of calories whilst teaching. His nose wrinkled slightly as the smell of cigarette smoke in the dark bar, but he didn't mind so much. He grabbed one of the fries from the bowl and nibbled on it as he waited for his Jazzy Pants to arrive.
She sent the message and left her room to head to her car. Within fifteen short minutes she had arrived at the usual spot and parked next to Gio’s car. Jasleen strutted to the entrance of the bar and flashed the bouncer a smile. He already knew that she was a regular and she had already slept with him to ensure no problems with her. The bouncer flashed Jasleen a wink before she hurried into the bar.
