"I'll give you a hint, Sparky - no homecoming court material has ever set foot to where we're going. Don't let that tuck your puppy dog tail between your legs though, you're cool with me, you're cool with everyone." Lils slid a smirk over at him as she took a turn, in to the more industrial side of town. He looked way too excited to keep him in the dark though, so she continued - getting close to the destination she spoke of. "We call it the Slab. There's a lot of street artists and all around cool cats who chill it there and just talk it up. You'll fit in fine, especially in this get-up." The whole paint-splattered look really was pretty becoming on him. She'd hate to see him all cleaned up now, it'd just ruin the image he'd built up so far. They pulled around to what looked like an abandoned trainyard. Several unhitched cars sat on the tracks running parallel with one another - each one covered in spray paint, decorated in various colored tagnames and slapdash images.
She parked beside a couple other cars several yards away from the rails and got out, taking the fifth of Jäger out and slipping it in the waist of her shorts along the back of her hip. Lils hung her arm around his shoulders and led him onward past the traincars - revealing a large standing concrete slab foundation. It may have once been destined to be a railway station, but now it was more of a practice space and chill spot for the creatively dubious. Close to ten people were present, half of which were in their own spray paintin' world. The hiss and clatter of the cans, along with the aroma hanging about the air really solidified this place for what it was. The spraypaint soundtrack was broken however, by the fast-paced punk music rumbling through a shoddy portable stereo as they approached a small group of four sitting along the far edge of the slab. A cinnamon-skinned heavyset girl turned to witness their arrival, announcing to the others - "Hey lookit here fellas, Lils caught herself a painter bloke!" Aside from a hoop in her right brow, the girl was free of facial piercings - her face fresh and grinning up at the two. Two guys craned around to get a load of this - both decorated with various tattoos, one in particular looking more interested about this than the other. The other guy didn't care to look, his hand up at his brow. "Way to spoil the surprise, Krish." Lils spoke with a smile, slipping her arm away and patting Chad on the shoulder. "This here is Chad. Chad, this is Krish. Pete, Dane, and Montleroy." The other guy turned around at this, the piercing between his brows wrinkled in his furrowing. "That's Monty to you Lillubelle," he retorted pointedly as he sized up the boy Lils had brought to them. "dude doesn't look like a Chad anyway." Pete chimed in, "Yeah you look more like a Vince, man." Dane completed the sentiment, only to be cut off by Lils. "Like a Vincent-" "Van Gogh, yeah I said that one already. Anyway, you all be nice to Chad here. This guy saved my ass with some great mural work in Tanglewood earlier." Lils encouraged with a little nudge before she stooped and sat in front of the group, speaking and urging Chad to do the same, "Show em man."
