Todd blinked, turning his head in Bandi's direction. He just noticed him, and laughed a little nervously, shrugging his shoulders.

"Oh, uhm..." Todd said, looking down at the table with a faint flush on his cheeks. "I'm just excited. Nervous, I mean. I have a photoshoot today. I never mentioned it before, but it's with this really famous guy who requested me. I... He requested me, Brandi. Gavin's so excited about this photoshoot! It could, uh, make my career!"

He smiled, but then started to fiddle with his fingers.

"I... am a little nervous because... the guy supposedly hits on all of his clients. And i'm not sure... if i'd be good with that? I'm not... really... flirty and I don't want to insult him." His voice trailed off, as he spoke for the most he had all week. He was nervous. "So i'm thinking, if he does flirt... i'll go along with it, or, try..."

Todd blinked. "What's a roadaleck?" He asked, the hungarian sounding horribly foreign on his lips. He shrugged it off, however, when he was offered the bag. Todd grabbed it, and opened it, eyes widening.

"Oh! Ed, Edd, and Eddy! The disk I lost!" Todd's smile stretched across his face, practically reaching his ears. His eyes lit up in joy. "Thank you, Brandi! The one I had was lost in the move..."

He was oblivious to Bandi's anger and fears of losing him, Todd didn't think this photographer was much of a threat. Or was he? Either way, Todd hadn't thought about it.

Todd pouted when Bandi made that example. Gavin wasn't a son of a bitch! But it was a harmless example... or was it? Todd caught that glint in his eyes, and shook his head, looking over the dvd of his favorite show.

Todd snorted at Bandi's remark about the show being in purgatory. "Well... I guess that's OK of them to theorize... but if it's not canon," He shook the dvd case a bit, emphasizing his point, "I don't believe it. You and I should watch this together sometime."

He watched Bandi spin around in the chair and smiled at his antics. "Having fun?"

“It’s a learned practice.” Todd said, shrugging his shoulders. “Besides, uhm…. Well… he’s not trash. He’s very skilled, very good at pictures. Which is why I’m so excited… I’m sure he might not be the best guy, but he’s good at what he does…”

Todd placed the dvd in the rack he had in his room—a dvd rack full of movies and recordings—mostly consisting of the full serious of Ed, Edd, and Eddy. “I’ll need to be ready for Gavin in a few hours… I hope I look okay.”

Todd shook his head, sitting up a bit straighter in his seat.

"Sorry Brandi, but uhm, no. His work is amazing. And I... his name in my portfolio would be amazing, so I really can't miss this. Besides... we can watch Ed, Edd, and Eddy later. This is a once in a life time opportunity, Brandi!"

Todd sighed as well, wondering why Bandi was so against this. It was just a photoshoot, after all! He'd be done by the end of the day---

Suddenly, he felt pressure in his eyes and let out a small scream. It hurt! He flailed his arms in front of his face, placing them both over the eye that had been poked. After a second, he tried to open it, but it didn't work!

"You--" Todd said, his face flushing with anger. He couldn't believe Bandi! How could he do this, just to force him to stay... he needed this photoshoot! Bandi knew that! "Why did you do that?! If there's anything wrong with my eye, i'll have to drop the shoot, Brandi!"

Todd tried to force his eye open, but that hurt so his reflex was to close it automatically. "Oh no... no... no..."

He stood up and ran to the boys bathroom, standing in front of the mirror. He removed his hands and winced. His eyes wasn't too bad, but it was a little red around the edges. And it wasn't opening.

"Brandi!!" He half whined, half screamed. "What have you done?!"

That was all he said? That was it? No apology, no are you all right? Todd turned around to face the door, hurt and anger filtering across his face. No… no, no! He had to be okay! He had to!

Todd tried to force his eye open again. He was overreacting… right? He wrenched his eye open, finally, and stared in horror.

His blue eye was bloodshot, horribly bloodshot. It wasn’t anything fatal, but it would certainly show up on a picture! And besides that… it… it wouldn’t heal for a while! He needed to be ready in three hours!

“Brandi…” Todd said, staring down at the sink. “I don’t care if he’s scum or I ‘deserve’ better. A job is a job! And if this is ruined for me…”

Todd grabbed his phone and dialed Gavin’s number.

“Gavin? Gavin! It’s me, Todd Bennett. I… I uhm…. There’s something wrong with my eye….”

There was a muffled noise of shock from the other end, then some yelling.

“I uhm, I… it’s all bloodshot and… and i… I don’t know how to fix it, I… no Gavin, I… what? What do you mean, time? No, I don’t have time! Its… he won’t? Really? I… he… but this shoot… no rescheduling…?”

Todd hung the phone up and hung his head. If this eye thing wasn’t gone in three hours…. He couldn’t go to the shoot. He just stood there, in his bathroom, good eye wide and staring at the sink.
