Although his hair was still damp from the shower he had taken moments earlier, he found himself stretching while he yawned, blissfully unaware of the time. He was also blissfully unaware that he was also two hours late on getting up. He adjusted his shirt, straightening his hair in a quick flash, applying eyeliner shortly after. Today seemed to start out okay, so he was a little bit more relaxed than he had been the last few days. He slowly made his way out of his room, immediately heading outside to smoke a cigarette which would help him wake up a bit more... but someone was already there, which made him a bit nervous.
Halyn looked thoroughly annoyed, letting his phone drop to the ground as he ended the call, his hands clenched slightly as he lit up his second cigarette within an hour. Neither spoke, as Carmen could tell Halyn was ready to murder someone, just looking in the other direction from Halyn. The younger by a year just hissed once his phone started to vibrate, looking tempted to smash it, but chose to set it on silent and placed it in his pocket. His eyes looked a tiny bit darker than normal, and he seemed super agitated this 'early' in the morning, when in truth it was noon sharp. By the time Carmen took the last drag of his one, Halyn was on his third. Awkwardly, Carmen slowly, cautiously approached.
"You should slow down... You might-"
"Look, I don't need a lecture about my smoking, so shut up." The harsh nature wasn't very much like Halyn, even distant Carmen knew that, but he backed off and went inside almost immediately after. He sighed as he looked out the window towards him, but decided to get breakfast cooked for those that 'just woke up'... Carmen was convinced that it was only nine, lord knows how. He hummed very lightly as he cooked the eggs, bacon and sausage, though being a bit paranoid by listening for any signs of Halyn's outbursts, or anyone in general. The anger within Halyn reminded him of a distant, but very bad memory, which stopped his humming as he finished. He swallowed a little hard, free hand gripping onto the oven's handles tightly, the only sign of truth that he was more stressed than usual.
