Hey guys! I think this will make it a lot easier for us to differentiate between what is a one on one roleplay and what is a group roleplay or open to new joiners! This way, if people don't want other joiners, they can just communicate this through the title of their threads. Also, if they want more joiners, that can also be communicated with the title!
If you have a roleplay anyone can join whenever, put [ OPEN ] in the title! This way, if someone is bored they know they can just post in that thread and join right in on the action! If, for whatever reason, you decide to close the thread to make it a one on one (maybe if something substantial happens in the roleplay between your characters) just edit your first post and make it open to joiners! Just because a thread is open doesn't mean everyone will immediately join, but they'll know they at least have the option.
On the other side of the coin, we have one on one and closed boards. Some people want to develop their characters through one on ones or small group roleplays with characters that have substantial influence on theirs. Please label these threads as a simple [ CLOSED ] or [ CLOSED - (name of person you're RPing with here) ]. This way, we know that if we want to join one of these, we have to ask the participants first or just not! These are useful for specific character centric plots between two or three others. Closed threads can be small group as well as one on one.
You can still get creative with your titles, just please make sure to include whether the thread is CLOSED or OPEN! If someone posts in a closed thread unannounced, they'll be reminded that closed RPs mean they cannot join but they are free to join OPEN threads. If you have any questions feel free to ask me about this system and i'm happy to explain!
