Remy is often outspoken and will approach anyone without hesitation. She loves being the center of attention and really feeds from it when she is at a canvas. Remy is not without her quirks - is never ashamed of her tendency to rummage through trash to find the perfect makeshift brush and loves it when she finds a perfect object to use. Remy is impulsive and staggeringly confident and will not often take no for an answer, especially when it comes to things she desperately wants. If it's a certain object and she has no other way to get it properly, she will find the means to get it improperly. Rules and precautions mean little to her - and while she doesn't often cross that line, she wouldn't feel guilty about it afterwards. If it's a person she's after, she will wind her way in to their life and take pains to charm them in to submission - her pleasing french accent one of her weapons. Granted it takes a really special something or someone to get her acting this way, but Remy has little remorse when her actions cause others to crash and burn. The term heart-breaker comes to mind, given her early history in doing this to all the flames she sparks - then leaves it to fade or straight extinguishes it when disinterest sets in.

Born and raised in France, Julietta was an easy child to raise. Which was a blessing to her already verging-on-their-forties parents. She was most definitely planned, a product of a stable couple who had been trying to have a child for years. They'd put it off for the better part of their marriage, to pursue their own life passions. Her father Luc, a savvy business type who made his mark as a spokesman in cardboard packaging and recycling, her mother Margoli, a sculptress and nude art model. Her interest in her mother's art began so early on that her mother joked constantly on how Julietta would be a prodigy sculptress to follow in her footsteps. It didn't quite happen that way, though. Her mother had influenced her a great deal - but when it came time to prove her mother right, Julietta took a turn toward paint in unconventional and inspiring ways. They began to share her mother's studio space until the day came where Julietta needed more than just her mother's presence to keep her momentum up. There was just something about having people watching that made her creativity soar. So during her summer breaks from school, the young and bright-eyed Julietta would go with her father to the recycling facility he owned with a couple partners and bring her paints with her. She experimented with textures and devices that changed the way that the paint would sit upon her thick cardboard canvases - she practiced so much and so often that going back to school would always be something to dread. Not that she'd get bad marks, but the fact that she couldn't paint in every class was what really irked her. She soon got used to it though, taking up doodling squiggles along the margins of her journals - loving how they flowed when she just let her hand guide the pen along.
It wasn't till she reached her teens that she fully realized what her mother's second occupation was. It was intriguing to her, and she began to tag along when her mother would model at Université Rennes 2. It had opened her eyes to more possibilities, she wanted to model too. She begged and pleaded her mother, but she was always shot down with 'when you are older my dear' in so many words. At the age of twelve, her parents welcomed a high school art student from America who'd enrolled in the School Year Abroad program- Christopher Chen. This marked a brand new chapter. When she saw him walk in to her life she almost forgot all her preoccupations with paint and nudity, but they came in handy when she resolved to seduce Christoph - five years her senior - after little under a month and a half of him living in her home. She convinced him to teach her english, the english they did not teach in primary school at least. Her parents none the wiser, she got closer and closer to him, experimenting with how laughably simple it was to do so. Remy learned how quickly males turned to putty when their egos were stroked just right. But after all that experimentation within a three month period, it all got dull. Christoph began to cling and smother, it was not the fun game she'd considered it to be - and he left France with his pride and heart mangled so indiscriminately... Remy needed to try at this again. She began to exhibit her art making in parks and coffeeshops, a steady stream of young tourists always filtering through. They soon became her own sort of vice, playing on their words and emotions and sending them home maybe a little bit more confident than they'd been. She tried out a few relationships in school - they didn't suit her one bit. They were much too constricting. She began to focus on her studies instead, wanting desperately to become eligible to enter an exchange program herself. Her growing proficiency in english certainly was a plus, so she soon increased her marks and finally got accepted to visit Metric High as a Junior. Everything about Metric, and Salem intrigued her - doing some extensive research on the campus, faculty, and town she'd be living in for the school year.
It was a miraculous thing to her, then, when her father notified her that they could simply move there as his company was booming in expansion and setting up warehouse factories in multiple places around the US. They needed an ambassador in California especially. It was hard to believe that all of her efforts were becoming so tangible that it had brought her father and mother along as well. The last year of her schooling in Rennes was spent in a bubble of anticipation, all of her painting and amorous endeavors put off until they finally made the move. Though the times clashed and she had to enroll a bit awkwardly in to the year, it did nothing to dissuade her high hopes and curious notions regarding her future at the school and among the locals and students alike.
