Oh, Chardonnay could name a few problems with this arrangement off the top of her head, things that had come to mind so many times in the years that they had been fucking that they had become natural thoughts when ever they were together; their constant fighting, their volatile attitude towards one another, the fact that they still wanted each other for some fucking reason. And those were just a few out of the pile or problems that Chardonnay could think of. The two of them together... They were a problem. They weren't supposed to be anything together--not fuckbuddies, not friends, not anything--but here they were, still fuckbuddies, after their, what, third time of questioning whether or not they were done. Or had it been more? At this point Chardonnay had lost count which, when she thought about, was another problem. Given their volatile attitude there was no telling how they'd feel about each other one day, and depending on the events of a day could lead to their demise. Like five days ago.
But God, Chardonnay didn't want to get rid of this problem in her life. Arthur might be a thorn in her side, but he was a thorn that she refused to pluck. In time that would come, but as of right now it wasn't time. She just hoped that she hadn't let him get too deep in her skin, deep enough to to really hurt her when it was time to pull him out. No. She figured that she had built up a strong enough resolve for their ending as long as it ended on her terms, terms that were right for the two of them and not something as stupid as his niece getting in their way. If there was anybody who was going to get involved and split the two of them apart it was going to have to be a girlfriend of Arthur's, but even that was an idea that Chardonnay was beginning to hate. She wanted him to still be single when they ended, so that she knew he hadn't been looking for anyone else while they were screwing. It might be incredibly selfish, and it might be treading the line of possessiveness, but... She just didn't want to feel like she did when she thought he was screwing around with Erin. That was too much for her. That, Chardonnay realized, was true rejection, and she did not want to have to feel that. Not again.
So... Soon. Maybe in a few months they'd end. Chardonnay wanted to think that they may go on longer, but at this point, she didn't know. Anything was up in the air at this point, and as much as she didn't want this to end, she didn't want to look like a desperate fool either. She still had her pride to look after. But given all the lights that Arthur had seen her in, would her pride even matter in the end when it came to him? Likely not.
At least he wasn't turning down her statement or completely blowing her off. Though a rush of relief finally ran through Chardonnay when she realized that Arthur wasn't saying that he wanted this to end, when he started yelling at her because of what she did five days ago she started to get annoyed, and then angry at him. Yeah, she understood his anger, and saw his points, but the fact that he was still holding a grudge over this shit after five days? Who did that?! Well, she would, but that was besides the point! "Oh, fuck you! I had every right to do what I did to you, and I was not going over the line with it! Do you know how much money I've had to spend on your niece because of her blackmailing me?! Too much! And that's not even taking into consideration the amount of gas money I wasted shuttling back and forth from Salem and the gas I wasted taking her to places. And that's not even considering the money that went down the fucking drain with her and her date's meal at my restaurant! So no, you owe me!"

She huffed defiantly and walked over to the day bed where she sat down and looked out over towards the skyline. "That might not have been along the lines of teasing the hell out of you, but you sure as fuck composed yourself well enough to get out of the condo before I came out of my bedroom! And I wasn't in there that long!" She snorted again and rolled her eyes. "You're acting like I did that as an attempt to kill you; stop overreacting!"
But she did, at least, listen to what he had to say about Adelaide and how he knew she wasn't going to do any more blackmailing. It still wasn't anything that Chardonnay was confident about--she didn't trust that girl one it--but she supposed that, for the time being, she should believe him. For now, as long as the problem was dealt with, then Chardonnay was okay with it. As long as she didn't have to deal with that little shit any longer then Chardonnay was fine. Still, hearing that Arthur wouldn't give a car now if his sister knew about their fuckbuddy relationship made her shiver. Yeah, it was there own business and they knew what they were doing, but it was there business and other people didn't need to know about it, so it needed to stay like that. But knowing Arthur, she didn't feel the need to tell him that. He didn't seem like he was still willing to tell Ms. Summers about this, and Chardonnay wasn't going to tell anyone. "Just as long as she stays the fuck away from me, I don't care how she feels." But something else caught her attention as she had been listening to Arthur start to talk about his niece. She furrowed her brows at the thought.
"Are you smoking?"
